This multimedia project looks at women's lived experience through images. The phrase "the female body as battlefield" appears often in writing, but rarely in the images we see online — this project sets out to close that gap, creating new visuals to build awareness and open up the conversation.
The work starts with images pulled from the internet and archives. These are then reworked by hand: printed on high-quality paper, then altered through techniques like adding objects, chemical treatments, and scratching. The prints are photographed again, and it's this second act of image-making that brings out stories that were left out or forgotten the first time around.
The finished pieces are shared across websites, social media, search engines, and physical exhibitions — building a visual counterpart to the conversation around the female body as a battlefield. At its core, the project is an invitation to look again, and to notice what usually goes unseen and unheard.
